Robert Renkes is an attorney who serves as Executive Director of the Fiberglass Tank & Pipe Institute (FT&PI) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to joining FT&PI, he worked 38 years for the Petroleum Equipment Institute where he served as its executive vice president and general counsel. He is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and received his law degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He currently serves on various technical committees of the National Fire Protection Association, Underwriters Laboratories, US Army Corps of Engineers, American Water Works Association, and the Coordinating Research Council. He has served as President of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Tulsa. Renkes has served on the board since 2018 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Underwriting Committee. His term expires in 2024. He has been nominated for a three-year term.
